When working in fashion you get the freedom to pretty much wear anything. But sometimes I like to add a little professional look to my wardrobe. This outfit probably isn’t one I would suggest you wearing to your law school interview or to a day at your accounting firm, but it gives you ideas on how to mix and match.
Find a blazer you love in a color that you love and make it work wherever you go. If you’re at work, wear it with a cute and modest skirt and a button down. For casual friday wear it with a silk tee. Dress it down for a Saturday afternoon with ripped jeans and good espadrilles. It is all about versatility.
Investments pieces…have you heard of this concept for your wardrobe? Well a good blazer would be one of them. I am currently about to make the Smythe blazer investment (insert my bank account cringing here). These pieces that I like to call investments are meant to last you forever. They are meant to be there through every move, break up, new job, etc. The nice thing is that they last. I would highly suggest starting to think about what you would need in your personal investment wardrobe.
